Diamondtec was formed from its mother enterprise DIAMOND D TECHNOLOGIES in January 2000.
Diamond D Technologies commenced operations in July 1998 with a registered office at the family beef cattle property "WOOROOWOOLGEN" on the Richmond River near Casino NSW.
The name Diamond D & our logo was used as a historical remembrance as the Diamond D was the cattle marking brand - cattle marking, using hot brands being as significant as a means of identifying ownership of cattle in days gone by as is the the modern day microchip identification system used in numerous industries.
The Diamond D belongs to the property which has operated since the 1860s and at its peak in size was once one of the largest cattle stations on the NSW Eastern Coast "WOOROOWOOLGEN" Station. "WOOROOWOOLGEN" is an aboriginal name meaning "the bend in the river" referring to the Richmond River geography in that area.
